A downloadable game

Eavesdropping on Ents is a solo journaling game that fits on a business card.

The mechanic is simple: You go on a walk, you imagine (inspired by a prompt) a conversation you've overheard, and you write that down. Rinse repeat every time you go on that same walk.

It's hard to nail down what my inspirations were for this game as the idea arrived in a swift rush of thought and I wasn't thinking about any of that while trying desperately to get everything written down before I forgot it.

But, you could easily say that this game is inspired by the likes of The Quiet Year and The Gardener is Dead.

If I don't completely forget this game exists after five minutes (I should set an alarm), it's my goal to continually release new prompt sets every season: spring, summer, autumn, and winter.

"Eavesdropping on Ents" is fabulous meta game. Who doesn't want to idly think about what trees say as you take a walk? Incorporating the seasons is a beautiful way to tie together your mental musings of "what the heck does a tree even talk about"? You must understand, it takes a long time to say anything. And they never say anything unless it is worth taking a long time to say.

love these! Looking forward to the summer set! 💕
